Andrew Clemente

29 year old designer, developer, & entrepreneur based in Rhode Island

I have a passion for all things creative and have used that to create engaging web experiences for clients around the world since 2005 – from an industry-leading sailing company to social good organizations and many industries in-between.

Having held full-time positions over the past few years, my ability to take on additional projects has been limited. Below are some newer projects, followed by a select sampling of previous work. For additional work samples, please do not hesitate to contact me.

Since the fall of 2017 I have served as a consultant for ActBlue, assisting with overflow web projects including building the annual end of year report – a dynamic one pager built on WordPress for ultimate flexibility with rearranging data sections. Additional work completed on other AB projects.

Crafted a modern design and architecture for one of the largest and most popular beer review apps available for both iOS and Android. Included use of Photoshop and Sketch for UI design. Fully layered artboards handed to the BrewGene team for further development.

North Sails

A multilingual WordPress powered website serving a global audience of over 1.5mm pageviews/year, as well as dynamic eCommerce for 1,000+ products with over 30 different price regions. Additional tasks included SEO, content management, UI/UX optimization, server management (CentOS/WHM/cPanel) and Salesforce management and integration.

I am a self-taught designer & developer who has learned by doing over a span of nearly 15 years, focused mainly in advanced WordPress usage (PHP/mySQL/HTML/CSS). While I have spent the last few years concentrated on development, design remains a strong passion of mine. From pen and paper sketches to creating layered designs and interactive prototypes, I can help with any of your design or UI/UX needs for the web or mobile. With a diverse background spanning many industries, I look to create clean and modern user experiences.

I have been recognized for my ability to think outside the box with an NFIB Young Entrepreneur Award (Rhode Island, 2008) and University of Rhode Island “Big Thinker” (2012) designation. Previous personal projects included the highly popular, The Market Theme for WordPress, and BarHop for iOS.

I am currently a UI/UX Designer at eMoney Advisor. Previous roles included the lead developer for North Sails and Worldways Social Marketing, as well as an assortment of web and design related roles for Launch Trampoline Park LLC, BrewGene, and The University of Rhode Island.

Let’s work together.
